The night that was eNVIes Metro!

Just two days later, back in Adelaide at the Former Royal Adelaide Hospital (the FRah!) it was time for our Metro Venture Dorm graduation.

We chose the FRah as the epicentre of our second eNVIes of the year, after it was announced by the Liberal government that it would be re imagined as the CBD’s creation and innovation neighbourhood.
Six finalists pitched (PS. We live tweeted the whole thing! Read them all on our Twitter), chosen from a pool of graduates ranging from social enterprise, DNA sequencing, e-booking innovation and many, many more. Our seven finalists:

  • Clair Crowley of The Good Scout Travel Co (GOLD eNVIes and Hydra Consulting Scholarship winner, pictured with VC of Flinders University Colin Stirling)
  • Matthew Stead of Ping Services  (Silver eNVIes winner and recipient of Sandy Walker Technologies Scholarship)
  • Karen Roberts of Book Burritos (People’s Choice winner)
  • Theresa Brown of Play It On (Awarded the Hydra Consulting Scholarship)
  • Tara Lee of Bowstring
  • James Preuss of Concierge Genetics

It was extremely difficult to choose from our pool of 20 Venture Dorm graduates – whose variety and progress in the program was some of the most significant yet. You can see a full list of the 2018 Semester One graduating group and our sponsors HERE.
